The many medieval villages scattered on the land are a typical scenery of our Region: rich in history and culture, they offer an atmosphere of ancient times.

The nine Castles of Arcevia
Avacelli, Castiglioni, Caudino, Loretello, Montale, Nidastore, Palazzo, Piticchio and San Pietro, are the so called “nine Castles of Arcevia”, nine castles dating back to XIII century, which are nowadays villages built within beautiful city walls perfectly well maintained: villages of great historical and artistic importance.
