Le Marche: “Italy in one Region”

“If you want to determine which is the most typical Italian landscape, you should indicate the Marches … Italy is a kind of prism, which appears to be reflected in all the landscapes of the earth … Italy, with its landscapes, is a distillation of the world: The Marches of Italy.“
In this way Guido Piovene described the Marches in one of his praises to our Region.
The only Region of Italy with a plural name: lots of landscapes, deliciuos qualities of food and wine, precious historical and artistic treasures will make you fall in love with this wonderful land.
Charming medieval villages and castles dot the characteristic hilly landscape of the Marches: many of them have been awarded the “Orange Flag for the most beautiful villages in Italy” by Italian Touring Club.
